Training a new clerk at work. Customer starts counting change and my eyes spot this beauty. Had to wait patiently for the customer, then the new clerk to walk away before I could pounce!

Been on that side of the counter before and that was something that always made me tense up. Over 4 years (now this is only counting stuff people actually handed to me, I'm not counting the stuff I found IN the register), I got a couple of silver Roosies, a Mercury dime (almost got a second, but the guy that almost gave it to me was a very good friend and I told him not to spend it), several silver war nickels, countless wheats, a 1964 proof nickel, and a clad proof state quarter.

Yeah, it was a proof cent that got me looking. (I think it's a 1916s) Then a few silver Roosies, and a few pre-64 Washingtons added fuel to the fire...Now I don't see coins, any of them, the same. I try to scrutinize all of it!
