I must add,
there isn't any place in this State that isn't beautiful.
Let us know you are coming, and where you want to go.
Someone here is happy to give you ideas.

Old Dog's right about the state, Takoda. I grew up and lived in Oklahoma and have been here 6 years and it's still pretty breathtaking, and I still have a tendency to be a 'gaper'. I'd come in the summertime for a first time visit. Winters can be a little overwhelming until you get used to them, unless you're a skier.

Haven't made it to the burro races, ChrisP1. I shouldn't have posted that second pic with the cartoon characters. It's a cool little shop and people do make that association about the South Park thing. The folks in Fairplay aren't like the cartoon. They're regular folks. (Well, as regular as we all can be here at around 10,000 ft.) Plus, I just like the sound my boots make when I walk down some of their wood sidewalks.

Yeah we get around 4H as long as I can afford gas. I think tomorrow we might head down towards the San Luis Valley if the weather holds. I'm tryin to stay away from Gold-N-Detectors over in Golden until about April. I want a pinpointer and them guys got it. If it's bad tomorrow down south, I might drive over that way...

Hello Rginn, these are great shots, love the scenery. I like ths type of decoration of those two
buildings(Excluding the cartoons). I'd like to see the insides of them.
Thanks for sharing.
Ray
