One thing I noticed today whilst stumbling around in the cornfield was that in places where the stubble was piled up, it was easier to dig. I suppose it catches and holds the warmth better. Also the decaying process generates it's own heat. But, as usual, I digress. :)

I had planned on coming on here and just post a "normal" day's hunt in the stubble. You know, one without gold/silver/coins/no old relics/bullets/ or anything "good". You know......normal. LOL

I had it in the bag! But, then, on the way out, I hit these. Although there's not much there, intrinsically. I realize the importance of saving things like musket balls. After all, they are from an early period of time in history. So, here are the finds of my ever so slightly better than "normal" day.

Thanks! My favorite is the large musketball looking thing. It's the largest one I've ever found. Don't know much about ammo but I suspect this one is pretty old.
