This is a larger overview of a site I have researched, hiked, and done a little metal detecting to confirm.

This is a closer view of the site I am looking at working.

This is a second site I've spent about 12 hours working and has turned up a few nice finds.

Just looking for a little help narrowing my search areas and locating any large finds that may be on site. Thank you for any and all help!

Green circles for old stuff or archaeological type signals. Green Xs for archaeological signals. Red circles loose surface (less than 3 ft), red Xs deep coins (whether cached or got deeper by ground erosion or excavation) from 4--5 ft, 5-6 ft, and 6-7 ft deep..

For the last photo your pretty much spot on and my digs there confirm those 4 areas as the "hot-spots" pulled a few good relics. I will be up there again this weekend and I'll see if I can poke around those 2 red circles a bit and let you know. The second picture is interesting not what I totally expected but the areas marked are some that my research has identified as likely to produce. Now the first picture this one is very, very, interesting as it's the least "trashy" of the sites and I pulled 2 old ax heads from areas very close to the two green X's most left on the image. I am very intrigued by the two red X's in the first image. I look forward to hiking up there and having a look around.

Hi Saltman,
In all 3 pictures, dowsing revealed....
Yellow areas: An attraction to copper/brass.
Green circled areas: An attraction to placer gold. Also picked up on weak silver attractions.
White circled area: Loose coins.
Thanks for posting your pictures,
Jon
