this was the last hole on Thursday at the 1720 home. she was living at the edge of the bluestone sidewalk to the main front door at 6 inches down. also got another thimble, a gold plated dunno', a piece of a sand cast buckle under the 1st front step, a round 4 hole brass:dontknow::dontknow: with a notched channel 10 inches down under a 2 X 2 foot 3 inch thick bluestone pathway to the well, 2 newer Jeffs, some crappola. the LC just kicked my 1865 IHP to the curb----my oldest dated LC ever---will try this cleaning on my other Brits & Colonials. my host gets 1st crack at owning the coin and we will settle on a price. he will also be my 1st go to on any LC's I dig in the future. back again next week for further discoveries at this site:dontknow:8-):icon_thumleft::icon_thumright: IMG_3288.JPG IMG_3289.JPG IMG_3290.JPG IMG_3291.JPG IMG_3292.JPG IMG_3293.JPG IMG_3294.JPG IMG_3295.JPG IMG_3296.JPG

That notched thing with holes I want to find out what it is too. I dug one in a Confederate camp and my brother dug one on a Civil War battlefield. Maybe off a powder flask? I'm not sure, that's a total guess but I've been wanting to find out for a while now.

here is a 2nd piece from this site. they fit nicely, NO EYE DEER what they are IMG_3297.JPG IMG_3298.JPG odd that the toothed piece was buried under the sidewalk in 8-10 inches of sand, any help on ID would be nice. going back next week to dig ANY hit that bounces off the iron square nails that carpet this 1 acre parcel. FMERG can't dig the trash areas with his SE Pro Minelab due to the null out, so he missed the LC and IHP since they were shrouded by iron
