I finally found a watch at a thrift shop. It is a Seiko model V158 0AB0. Checking eBay sold for prices they regularly sell for $50 to $60. I paid $4.20 out the door. To me it looks like it was Seiko's answer to the Seamaster. As luck would gave it, I have spoken for and am waiting on my watchmaker to get an Omega Seamaster Cosmic from '67 back into original condition. New Omega crystal, the correct crown and cleaning. Then I am buying it. Think I got a good deal at $400 and after eBay fees, I figure this copy cat will pay for 10% of it. What do you guys think, a coincidence on dial face and look, or what?

Just about any Seiko for under $5 is a no brainer. Love your Omega Cosmic. Just got my 68 Cosmic back last week. Mine in a manual wind. $400 seems like a right price for a serviced automatic one. I paid $75 for mine then $120 for service by Ebed on eBay and about $40 for crown and stem. I guess I'm into mine for about $235. Of course mine is a manual wind and not an automatic.
