She did it to me for the 3rd time in 4 days! Here are my finds.

JunknMoney050709.jpg

I was in the water and I picked up junk, bobby pins, a thumb tack, a hair clip, hair band etc etc.

SHE found all this

SHE found a lot of clad and - dare I say it? SHE found another ring! YES she did and this one is GOLD! 14 k but the stone is missing. **sigh**

SHE also found one of those things the kids like to pierce their tongues with. I don't know what it's called. I has a ball on one end and on the other it says "PORN"

OK here's my question...... who is the one that's been hunting for several years and who is the one that's only been out 7 times?

I told her she can't go out with me anymore! LOL

I think the only way you will get some change, is if you start charging her. hope your luck changes. (I wouldn't take her out anymore either)

What can you see that she is doing different than you? or is it really pure luck??

I taught her how to hunt. I told her to grid a relatively small area and hunt it well. Do I do that? NOOOOOOOO It is a case of "Do as I say and not as I do". LOL

The tongue ring stands for porn star.... It's a popular brand among the 30 and under crowd. My question is.... How did it get out of their mouth?

**SIGH** YES, but I'm in the water and she hunts the dry sand. I've been griping for months because I couldn't get in the water where the GOOD stuff is.... maybe I should rethink my hunt area. LOL

Maybe you should start hunting smart when in the water.....you seem like a really nice gal....and I read all of your posts here about your adventures and It seems that you have alot of fun doing this but there comes a time when the lack of regular returns will wear you down and with your daughter doing so well that can really kill it for you.....it is alot more than just jumping in and swinging the coil and hoping for a lucky hit.....Now I know that you hunt the gulf side mostly and it is sanded in alot.....a bit of sand has moved with the southerly winds of late and I have been looking for holes and troughs to hunt when out there.....another great sign has been areas with crushed coral in it and hunting in all metal mode and checking every whisper signal in discriminate. oh by the way.....I'm here for my annual 2 week vacation in the Sarasota area.....i'm having a bit of bad luck though....my Excal is not working....I'm a little bummed....my GT is ok....and I have been forced to hunt drysand and shallow surf.....A few of my friends have been hitting gold pretty regularily in the last week and they are hunting smart and finding those holes and lowspots....it's killing me not to get in like I want to....but i'll keep pounding the dry and wetsand and look for the spots and not depend so much on luck.....sometimes you just have to make things happen in this hobby/sport....ya know?.....HH....Brian

the studs are threaded on one end so they can be "unscrewed "(see the gap on the ball end ?) so they can be changed out for others kinda like a earring with a screw back . clearly unscrewed and lost while detached --or else very very painfully ripped out --the missing diamond chip is odd --nice bit of gold --golds gold
