Here in N GA , I don't find old flat buttons like that 'often ', 1 every year or 2 .

So i'm no expert but wanna guess it was made before 1850 . ???

Davers is all over it. I would guess that "dandy" button was made prior to 1830. It used to have a fancy design on the front, you can still see the remnants.

Late 18th century. By 1810 or so most buttons started sporting a backmark.
