This knife has Arabic writing on it and that's about all I know so maybe the picture will help somebody explain where this thing came from?

Hello londog72,

"Acero" is the Spanish word for steel. Is the maker's stamp "Ravo" with an arrow through it? Is it single edged? How'd you come upon it?

Where did you find it? That might help.

Your asking where it came from but you have it. Where did it come from? is a answer you have. Is it a MD find or a flee market. If it is a flee market it is probably from china. MD find would warrant some looking into.

Looks like a cheaply made Mexican knife. There is no Arabic writing on it.

The wood doesn't seem like it is anything special, it looks like it could be made for the tourist trade.
