All buttons today, need help to identify one

Crown over eagle button the back says j r gaunt and son. London. Anyone know?

yes it was found with the others, but i hit it with electrolosis for a minute to get the crust off the back, and it cleaned up nicely

ok so i just found out the button, its a ww2 royal air force button

Button Makers and their backmarks G to M - ukdfd

Its a British RAF Button & the Backmark normally has '&' between the Gaunt '&' Son.

May have been made in Montreal just at the beginning of WWII?
