I went to the hospital rummage sale this morn . It was raining so most of the stuff was inside - I filled a box and ask one of the workers ''how much ? '' He said $7.00 .

The rusty cast iron bird bath thing was in a trash pile next to the dumpster- so I absconded it on my way out .

I love the bird bath/waterer.

We have the exact same one you have on our back porch. FWIW, it isn't old. My wife bought one at Old Time Pottery for about $20 several years ago. Ours sits near the kitchen window, and I try to keep it full of water through the spring, summer and fall for the birds and squirrels. It is very cool to see all the birds that come and drink out of it.
