Yesterday at the carnie cleanup we (Lil' Lowbatts and me) got some bling, some coin and some carnie tools. En route to carnie site #2 we wished we had taken the whole 20 gallon tub of ice cold Mike's Hard Lemonade left behind. Wound up in the parade for Bravo 1/178 just back from their tour and would have been happy to pour a few for the boys.

Lots of LEO, a two-mile long stretch of 59 loaded with welcome home signs and a lot of folks there to say welcome back and job well done. This is the Elgin-based guard unit and we got some neighbors and neighbor's kids who were coming home safe. So it was as good as gold after all.

Did see one kid at the Streamwood fest site with a CZ-3D, sporting hoodie-wear and big bling and swinging the coil a foot or two off the ground. He was wondering how these MD-things worked and I asked him where he got it, he kinda muttered something about it being his grandma's then left.

Anybody missing a CZ-3D?

P. S. Be carefull when taking your kid to a carnie site with an Old Style tapper truck and Mikes Hard Lemonade all over the place unguarded. Had to strap her to the hood for the rest of the hunt...

Just kiddin', c'mon now.

Its great to here the guys made it back ok and the parade was a nice thing to do for them. Lets them know folks care about them and their families. As far as the kid with the 3d, you should have offered him the lemonade for it and you would have got a good back up for nothing. LOL. TMAN...

Yep, first thought was wrong, should've asked him if he wanted to unload it...

Great day of contrasts though, the Cook County Sherrif had the orange-vested crew off the bus and cleaning the parade route while the locals gave their support to the returning troops.
