Always something interesting

Just out for a fix of dirt fishing. Figured on a few clads and got that too. But this one hole made me smile.

I got what I call a penny hit, (around 74 on the PRO). I was nearing the end of my hunt and getting tired. I commented "If it weren't that penny hits sometimes have jewelery, I wouldn't be digging you." LOL

Dutifully, I got down, dug out my plug and looked for the Zincoln I was SURE was going to be there. I saw this:



I knew immediately that this was no penny. LOL

So, I snapped a pic and then toyed with the dirt to get a little better one.



Sooooo O K! Ring confirmed. Thought I'd uncover a bit more to get an even better pic.




A 2 for!! How 'bout dem apples?!





They appear to only be stainless but still! Only marking inside was a 6 with an underscore. I'm assuming that's a size. The tooth? Maybe a shark's partial?

Now, I gotta admit, that was a FUN hunt because of this one hole.

I also got this bullet that I figure is an old pistol bullet. Kind of hollowed at the bottom and a nice white patina.

Yeah, me too! Back a few weeks ago I did find 2 rings almost in the same hole. They were separated by just a few inches. But this was such a cool find!
