Hey everyone. I have been coin roll hunting nickels and pennies up here in Canada for about two years now and currently get two boxes of pennies every week to sort through. This week I had my most incredible find to date. One of the boxes appears to have well over 2000 Wheat pennies! I have never found anything close to this before and thought I would share it with you all. I make videos of all of my finds week-to-week, so you can see the box and the contents of the first 5 rolls in this video here:

I also took a few pictures:

I will keep this thread updated with the totals as I go through the box.

ok i'm not being rude, but what is the use of searching pennies? i mean is there really alot of money in old pennies?

If you collect cents the chances are you will not make a lot of money. This is a hobby! I found a 1917 D last month, it could be worth .50 cents in the condition it is in. It was fun to find and that is enough for me. There is also the thrill of the hunt. You just never know what you may come up with. I do search halves, if your in this for the money I think this is the best bet. I started doing this a hobby and have had a ball with it ever since.

Gordon and Tanner

PS It is also something I can share with my 12 year old.

Hey guys. So sorry that I have not been able to update the thread. The end of August was extremely hectic for me as I tried to finish work and then prepare to move across the country (of Canada) for school. I was able to film and take pictures of the results before I left and I finally have my internet working in my new apartment, so I'll post the full results with the pictures and videos now. I would be more than happy to answer any questions and I hope you guys enjoy the videos/pictures as much as did making them!

Final Thank You

Thank you to everyone for taking a look at these finds and I apologize again for taking so long to post the rest of the results. I would be happy to answer any questions.

I will post a final tally/breakdown in the next few days. Here are some final pictures. In the first picture, I separated the wheats by decades:

Thank you BB! No problem at all, I had a great time with the videos and pictures. So glad you enjoyed them! I will definitely have the final breakdown up this weekend. Thank you again for the kind well wishes.

I've got a question for you. Where are you moving to and what are you studying?
Hey Canadian Guy. I am moving to Alberta from Ontario and taking legal studies.

Thank you Squid, glad you enjoyed the results! And you are right. It took almost two years to get lucky with this box. You just never know what you are going to find in your next box. :icon_thumleft:
