This was probably my best day at estate sales ever. First sale had tons of coins, ended up being 3rd in line. I missed a complete BU Franklin half dollar set for only $275 because I wasn't first in line. What I did get was better in my opinion. Basically all the coins were priced at silver content +-10%. All the Washington quarters, probably half of them were BU so I carded them. They were $3-3.25 each. The Morgan dollars, terrible condition (acetone should help), $15 each. The best coin was the 1912 Mexican Peso, its just beautiful in person, only $13. I hope it grades MS-64 or higher. I already dropped it and a couple other coins off to get graded. Not pictured is a 1909-P VDB full red probably MS-64 and a 1938-S red, has to be one of the highest grade wheat cent I've seen in person (should grade at least MS-66). 4 key date Mexico 20 Centavos from 1959 should sell $20-$40 each, paid $3 for all of them. Also found 3 bags of souvenir spoons for $36. All the souvenir spoons laid out are sterling (88 total), most being from those 3 bags, the rest with tags are from other sales today. Total weight on the sterling is 1300+ grams. The other spoons in the bag are just plate, but looks like some good ones. I haven't had a chance to go through the spoons and check values, but they look to be in the $15 - $40 each range at least. There's a few coin silver spoons from the 1790's to mid 1800's. Also got a Hawkes cut glass vase, Glass Eye Studio paperweight, Lladro figurine, and 2 10K gold class rings that I scrapped on the way home for almost half of what I spent total today. Here's a few pictures of the loot.
Edit: The coins today probably hadn't seen the light of day in 50 years. Most of the cards they came in were dated from the 50's to 60's.

Great finds!! I love coins! Quick question do you find these sales in newspapers or online? I ask because I want to know if they advertise that they have coins beforehand...? I have never seen a sale around here with coins and I'm wondering if it's because I look at estate sales online and if they aren't advertising what I'm after I usually don't go...

I browse estatesales.net for the sales. They also have an app for your phone. This was probably the biggest sale of coins (besides coin shows) that I've been to this year. There really hasn't been a lot to look at so far this year, other than coin shows. The sales that I've been to rarely advertise or picture coins, so you never really know what they have ahead of time. Usually the unpictured items are where the money is at, like with the spoons.

I hate to be the one to break the news to you...
But the spoons that are NOT sterling will fetch... IF you are lucky... ehhh $1 each ...

The sterling sell MOSTLY between 5 - 20... unless very rare or unusual...
OR subject matter is desired.

Never the less... good score... I would have bought them as well.
Well done.

probably a third of my online inventory is spoons. the sterling ones i always price at 2-3x silver minimum. there's some plated ones that I'll sell individually the rest are less than $1 each.
