What do you mean by dart, modern dart???
I am just interested to know more about this style of
point.

The article states....

" In one brochure on past cultures of the Upper Mississippi River, he discovered a drawing of an ancient copper spear point that he said looked exactly like his decades-old find."

Interesting he found it on a road. I have heard many stories from around this area where gravel knolls were being excavated to use the gravel for road construction and graves with copper artifacts were being dug up. This was supposedly pretty common 50 to 80 years ago, which would also be around the same time this artifact was found. One could speculate for a long time about how it got where it was found.
