I couldn't hit my normal 150 acres of woods, a lot of hunting going on. I caught wind of some property being cleared for a new development. I drove on Friday evening and caught one of the guys clearing the property and asked about doing some relic hunting. He said it shouldn't be a problem. I showed up Saturday morning before the sun came up. I started finding stuff just walking in. After a few hours, a lot of relic hunters showed up. One guy I spoke with explained there was a really old house site on the property and a lot of civil war troops camped in the area being right next to some train tracks.
I'm guessing its a Pigeon band, I need to find the age, G55BKNA87.
Anyone seen this button before? Maybe pre-civil war.
A lot of eagles, some didn't survive the bulldozers very well.
I lost this button for a few until I realized it was stuck to the shovel
That's a crazy bullet, slightly melted. I found a lot of melted led.
Found a lot of flat buttons, one silver and 3 still had the gilt on the backs.
A few buckles.
One guy was lucky enough to find a box plate and few others found large cent pieces. I can't seem to find a large cent, some day! Thanks for looking, HH.
