That is a sweet find. been a while since I've seen complete silver medal posted here.
And dated that old just adds to the coolness.
Kudos!

Here...

I will throw you a bone...

Paragraph (g) of Sec. 11.804 is based on 35 U.S.C. 32, and would
prohibit disreputable or gross misconduct. An example of a practitioner
being excluded for gross misconduct is found in In re Wedderburn, 1897
Dec. Comm'r. Pat. 77 (Comm'r Pat. 1897), mandamus denied sub nom.,
United States ex rel. Wedderburn v. Bliss, 1897 Dec. Comm'r. Pat. 750
(Sup.Ct. D.C. 1897), aff'd. 12 App. D.C. 485, 1898 Dec. Comm'r Pat. 413
(D.C. Cir. 1898).

What a great find, and to have it dated with the persons name makes it even better.

You think they could have invented a pin that doesn't break or come unclasped. :laughing7:
Great find

Found today. Six inches down; using five-inch coil on Fisher CZ3D.
Rip-off realm ... dating back to 1827. This company (disbarred in the 1890s) accepted inventions -- and kept the good ones. The inventor got a nice pin ... no profit. The engraved name on the back seems to be C.W. McGuhle.

Now, to find out who C.W. was. VERY nice find.

Very cool find. Must have been pretty profitable considering the same scams are still going on today. Reminds me of the rip off invention commercials i have seen on tv. At least back then you got a little silver for your invention.

Find what this fellow/gal invented? Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But only the family of said inventor would know since the company quickly absconded with the, uh, credit for inventing it.
