It took them years to finally decide just what it was once they had found this fascinating device.
This complex clock work was at first thought to be a modern era machine somehow found on site. It was later decided it had come from a far more ancient time, only recently have they been able to determine its actual function and make a operational duplicate!

On a side note now Leonardo can no longer be credited for some if his inventions but are actually re discoveries of lost technology, which makes one wonder just what else has been lost to time ....
