Check this stuff out! This stuff came from 4' deep in a bedrock crack. Heavily cemented. I had to break it out in chunks with a hammer and chisel. Very reddish orange coloration. Looks like iron staining. It must be crushed it will not seperate by any other means

Only way to tell is to crush it and pan it.

That's the only way you'll solve the mystery of whether it's something good or just something . . .

All the best, and thanks for the cool pictures,

Thanks guys! I'm done with crushing and screening the first round, going to have to recrush and re screen a few more times. This stuff is very stubborn. Then I will pan it all. The loose pack above this layer has been yielding about a gram of gold per bucket. So I'm hoping for a bonanza!!

That material looks really good for Gold but I would bet that there is much better stuff below it! I can't wait to read what you find in it and see the pics!

Below it is a thin layer of yellow clay. After I removed everything I could get, I flushed the crack with water and scrubbed with a plastic bristle brush and flushed again. Sucked out all I could with hand dredge. Upon inspecting the crack after dry I picked about 6 large flakes out by hand!!! It was very cool!!!

Sorry for the massive delay. Two kids one of which is 8 months old, takes me a while to work my material sometimes. Anyhow I finally finished cleaning up.

Yeah I want to fill some 55 gal drums with it, then we're talking. It's a 1/4 mile hike to the truck though...
