Been real busy and have spent all my spare time detecting so I haven't got to post my finds lately.
The last week or so has been pretty eventful. As Nanner's posted, four of us girls went to a local park that is supposed to be on the Forrest-Straight Raid trail. Didn't find any Civil War relics but I did find a ring and more clad than I have ever found in one day!

Thurs. Nana and I went to a new spot but found nothing. Plan B, the "hunted out" spot. I found a variety of relics, a cool old Barrett, two buckles and this big angel! Nana got the silver this day and we did the "Happy Dance".

Thurs we got permission to hunt a cleared lot up the road from us. The lot backs up to a road that shows up on the 1835 map. So Plan A for Fri was this lot. Nana, Terri and I left early just knowing we would find something there, but nada, nothing...total silence. Plan B, the "hunted out" spot.
Found more relics, buckles, a horse to go with my angel and my first SILVER quarter! A 1948. Not as old what you all find but I'm tickled pink!
I hollered "I've got WILVER" and Terri was like "what?"

All in all, we had a great time.

Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

That's my partner!~ ;)

I'm not sure on the exact size of that angel, but I'd have to say that it's at least 16 inches high. That's my favorite piece from that site. Love it!

Ya'll should have heard Lisa yelling! :D You could hear her all over that mountain!

"WILVER!!!!" :D

You did good! Congrats!!!! Nana

Congratulations on the rind and the quarter.

Are you going to restore the angel, or leave her rustic?

Nice going!

Thanks everyone! We really do have a great time.

Give Nana a cookie...the angle is 16" tall. I am going to try to restore her. I haven't decided wether to do electrolysis or let my husband sand blast it. He says it really needs bead blasted but they don't have one of those.

Civil - I just took pictures with my camera. It's a Canon Power Shot S3 15. I love it!

Happy Hunting to all!
