Good deals you picked up. The grinding bowl or pestle thing looks pretty big?

Yes it's about 13 in width x 5 in in height. ...If it wasn't for being such a beautiful mortar I would not have spent that much on this piece...

Such a strange coincidence that you posted that "Mork & Mindy" find just before his death...I didn't look it up but felt "something" about it at the time you posted it. There is some deep stuff out there that amazes me.

Forgot to say, I had a small seed pot from the same maker. It was about 3 1/2" diameter and sold for $35 if I remember correctly.

The Mork & Mindy is going to be worth a lot more now. (So sad.)

I like the seed pot. I still have my first piece of Acoma pottery. Sits on the nightstand full of change. And yes, i'm sure there will be a temporary surge in Robin Williams/ Mork & Mindy memorabilia, unfortunately. It's a terrible thing that someone who brought joy and laughter to so many was in such dire straits personally. Cool mortar by the way.

I only held onto mine because I use it. Mine is a lidded 9" polychrome bowl. I've sold a couple smaller pieces before including a seed pot, nothing special though. Most of it isn't too valuable unless it's an older piece or by a noted artist. Large pieces tend to do well also.
