Another Cellar Hole, Another Old Buckle. Can someone help me with age?

Got back to a place that I had hunted before. Once again I got pretty much skunked, the area is very overgrown so it's tough to cover a lot of ground. Fortunately I did manage to pull this nice buckle. I have not found one like this before...does anyone know when it might be from? I think it's pretty neat. The hole is just corrosion.

im guessing it's like those bat-wing style buckles that noone exactly knows when they're from?

i still say these types of buckles are late 1700's-early 1800's,there i started the debate again :laughing7:

As there is no off-set bar this is much more likely. Never seen one with a hole??

@GH does the hole look added afterwards?

the hole looks natural to me...it doesn't go through to the other side. Maybe just corrosion?

Thanks for the help, guys. I have found objects mostly from the early-mid 1800s nearby so that's what I assumed for the age.
