All Treasure Hunting
Hey T-netters. I got together with a good pair of husband & wife treasure hunters today. We hit an old cabin sight on a high ridge in a corn field. We all got some goodies and had a blast. I managed to get the old brass or copper buckle with the ring, small pocket watch, brass-copper toe tip, ceramic crock lid "Weir" thingy patented on March 1st 1892, and an 1868 Indian Head penny. I dug about my usual 50 lbs. of iron as well with two axe heads for my collection. I may be exaggerating on the iron weight. My buddy got a cool copper disk with some embossing on it and found a very nice clay marble. Keep your eyes peeled in the field. His wife got a bunch of iron of course but, was enjoying picking up shards of broken pottery, dishes, and other various items scattered about the area we were hunting. We are going back out tomorrow to try for more before Farmer "Brown" get his seed in the soil. Sorry some of the pictures are a bit blurry. My old Pentax Optio 750z is showing it's age. Enjoy and HH folks. Peace. 002.JPG003.JPG004.JPG005.JPG006.JPG008.JPG010.JPG

Further research on "The Weir" item is not an electric insulator as I previously thought but, a lid to and old clay-ceramic crock. Pretty cool old item. Never found one before.

Indeed, fun times together gathering up lost history. Best therapy I have ever encountered with NO side affects or drowsiness. Getting ready to head back over for my next therapy session right now. Peace.
