Went back to the campground again today, and found a '43 Washington to keep my silver streak going (5 visits to the campsite with one or two silvers each time).

I found another neat old compass today. This one does not have the pocket watch case, but it looks to be brass and was made in Germany.

Yesterday I found a little piece of metal that was stamped "Made in England". Today at a completely different area of the campground, I found another piece of metal stamped "Made in England" - not sure what it is though. Also found three toy cars today, two of which were made in England. The little Jaguar is very cool, but unfortunately it has seen better days - must have been in the ground for many, many years. The blue car is way cool as well, but I wish it was all intact.

The rest of the finds consisted of a bunch of bullet shells, a flashlight, a handful of clad, and a rusted out pocket knife. Tons of trash as well.

Pics...

I love to find cars, I've never posted any but I've found lots of em. Even found a brand new Tonka bulldozer at a Lake Michigan Beach under about 6 inches of sand. Cars are cool it's the quarters that get me, I have yet to find a single silver quarter, not so much as a '64 Washington...Oh well...someday

great hunt and excelllent finds.

Lots of fun stuff, T4 !

Does the compass still work?

Ha! I've actually seen 'beach cars' that resembled that Jag...
One I recall, enforcement pulled the gal over and told her she HAD to get it off the road...
Holes rusted through the body you could pass your fist through...

the "made in england" pieces are parts of motorcycle links.
since it is undamaged, i would say it is part of a master link.

My guess is that the "Made in England" pieces are aluminum. If so, and since you are at a campground, they are used to pull ropes taught for canopies. Either standalone canopies (over picnic tables) or ones attached to campers.

T4M - love that silver "Wash"!!! The made in England piece is definitely part of a link from a chain - most likely a motorcycle chain judging by it's size. EggBag and Tule hit the nail on the head (WTG Guys).

Oh yeah - that's a sweet Mini-Maglight you found as well - throw some batteries in it (two AA's) and you'll "see the light"... :D

Congrats and Happy Hunting...
