Had another decent day at the same permission. Hit the front yard and a bit in the back. A 1941 merc, ANOTHER 1929 SLQ in the sidewall of the same hole! I scraped the back cause of improper pinpointing by myself, D'oh! Also picked up a 1928 buffalo, a 1942 war nickel (it doesnt look like one but supposidly 1942 was a war nickel year), another 1886 IHP and a 1890 IHP.

Nice hunt. Not all nickels were made with silver in 1942.

Nice coin shooting! :occasion14:

no MM above dome= no silver. YUP, a fairly decent dig for some __________________over a month. love the SLICK :icon_thumleft::icon_thumright:

Nice coins and an especially good looking SLQuarter! :icon_thumright:

Thanks for the tips on the nickels. I had a feeing that was the case as the other ones ive dug were shiney when they came out. No mm.

Unfortunately i totaly scarred the back of the slq wildcat. Wasnt my initial target. After getting the merc i thought there was going to be a nail in the lower sidewall but it was a slq. Oh well.

Just try not to look at the back of that SLQ too often, BeenFishin. Been there, done that.

Wonderful coins--again! Congrats. -Lisa & John

Congrats on the great mix of finds!! Love the SLQ!

Better then a decent day with those finds!! Those dated SLQ quarters don't show up near as often as the dateless ones. And so close with that 42 nickel, almost doesn't seem fair. You see the 42 on front then flip it over and no mint mark.
Congrats on a great day!!
