Another first for me

Hunted for about an hour at a location a church had set up a small carnival. I was looking for jewely and ended up finding something totally unexpected. It was not even burried. It was mixed in with the loose dirt people trampled on. Finally got into the Barber category 1914 =)

A friend of mine gave me some liquid that softened the crusty stuff. I didnt use anything abraisive to rub it. Just softly with my fingers until eventually it came off. It took me several hours to get it to what you see here. Im not too sure if it was watered down silver cleaner. I have to ask him to know exactly what was included in that stuff.
