Still practicing with the new 6X10 dd coil so I headed for a nearby park for about an hour.

kids were playing soccer on the main field so I worked the infield of an auxiliary ball field. Pulled 2 quarters, 2 cents, some trash and a nice little 10K ring with opal and CZ stones.

It registered as an 8/foil/possible ring at 6". Dug it and out popped this great little ring.

Can someone tell me what the symbol between the 10K and the CZ means?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The stamped info says 10K then the umbrella type symbol with an arrow out of it, then finally the letters CZ.

I just figured that the CZ meant Cubic Zirconium.

All Gold is great in my book. Great find and that umbrella is called a Hallmark, sort of like the manufacture’s logo.

Thanks.

this is also the first one that got my wife kinda excited. It fits her pinky perfectly and she keeps asking when I'll have it cleaned up.

Our anniversary is next week so I'll try to have it done by then;)

Congratulations. I have not had the pleasure of pulling much gold out of the ground. But man do it feel great seeing it gleam!

Nice find. Hope you will find some more to show us.

Thanks Rev.

I've had a good year finding gold. I've gotten 3 men's wedding bands (one with diamonds), the ring listed here, a gold chain and 2 gold bracelets.

I will also admit that every single one of them fooled me except the gold chain. If you are familiar with White's VDI system here's what registered.

Ring 1 58 Bottlecap/cent. I thought it was a cent.
Ring 2 56 Bottlecap/cent. I thought it was a cent.
Ring 3 38 I thought it was a pull tab.
Gold Chain this was an eyeball find in the woodchips. I wanted to get it in my pocket quick so didn't run the detector over it. I would do it now but I am wearing it:)
Gold bracelets. these also came up in the 55-59 range.
Ring 4 (latest find). This one came up as an 8 I figured it was foil, but as mentioned above I was practicing pinpointing with my new coil and was digging everything.

I pretty much try to dig everything, so I do get a lot of pull tabs and foil, but it has sure been worth it this year
