I started hunting Golden Gate Park in S.F. back in 1987. There are literally hundreds of little nooks and hidden places throughout the park. Lately I've been hunting those out of the way places that most detectorist pass by. In a hidden little corner of the park I got a hit at 4 inches and out pops a 1943-S Walking Liberty Half! Also got a 64 rosie on a gopher mound. The sterling silver spider ring was a solid hit at 5 inches. 5 wheaties were dug, the olderst is a 1918-D.
