Another Hunt in the "Rust Jungle" 3/22/2011......(Video)

It hasn't been the best winter season here at the Jersey Shore but there have been some scattered hunts after some small events.....this time around it was a few days of stiff onshore winds coupled with a "Super Full Moon" that managed to strip sand off of one of our heavily iron infested beaches.....all I can say is that we were in the right place at the right time....enjoy the video.....Brian

Great hunt and finds.
The extreme tides were great here also. With the exception of a few good pockets, it never stripped the beaches deep enough though. Thanks for the video.

Here is Chuck's ring before and after it was cleaned.....

Here is Chuck's ring before and after it was cleaned....It is 18k with initials inside from a wedding. On the top is initials in that calligraphy sript. On the outside is "Died Nov. 14 1909". It looks like it was a man's wedding ring that was cut and had the initial plate soldered in after someone died. You never know what history comes out of that place.

Great video and awesome find on the ring, it really cleaned up nice and glad it was saved befor the "replinishment" crap starts. Thanks again for the video, very entertaining!!

Brian great video!!! As a rookie it's good to see that Jersey's beaches are still full of great treasure just waiting to be discovered.

Any way to track that ring back to it's owner's family? That would be really cool!!!!

BTW, I was using a bicycle on the AC boards the other day to check out the miles of beach. As you know, you can cover a lot of ground on a bike. ACPD flagged me down and gave me a ticket! Off season on a weekday. Live and learn. $54

Excellent hunt Brian and a great video as well.
What was decided about the gold pocket watch
case? Is it going to be left in the conglomerate?
That gold signet ring cleaned up very well too.
