Right on GC!

Your ID on the pronged item is close, but it is not for picking up golf tees--it is for repairing the little divots your golf ball makes when it hits the green.

i'm no golfer but what i think you said is used to put the grass back.....hmmm...it may soon have a second life!

Like mlw67 said, it's for repairing ball marks on the green. You jab it into the indentation and pry the soil back up till it's level with the rest of the green.(putting surface) I so seldom hit the green, that I just use a golf tee. Have yet to wear out a tee from it.

ok, now i get it...wonder why it was at the park....no one cares if there is an indentation, heck there is huge bald spots a few yards from where i found it

Looks to be a nice golf divot repair tool. Many times they double as a money clip.
I keep finding those Cub Scout scarf sliders all over in Ohio. I like 'em.
