Went back to the park where I found the Rosie. I decided to hit a wide open area that looks like it is used for soccer or football. I found some clad from the 60's but no silver. Even a 1954 nickel. Then the Etrac hits with a 12-47 12-48. I dig down about 4-5 inches and out it pops. At first I thought I had dug a aluminum screw cap. Then I realize it's a silver ring. I am not sure what the stone is (I think Agate). Clear with black specks.

Says Sterling on the inside with a hallmark. Looks like an older ring to me.

That's a nice ring, and the stone is agate. My first silver ring was big honker similar to yours, even the same agate stone.

Wow, That's a NIce Big Silver!!

Are you using a custom setting

I use Bill S. trashy park program. It has a small nickel notch and hits on zinc, clad dimes, copper and silver. Discs out iron, foil, some pulltabs, and most gold.

Sweet find I love finding rings my turn next Thanks for the post!!!!!

That trashy park program is a killer. It is all I use except sometimes open it wide up with an iffy signal. Nice ring

I'm going to try and load that one up. Not sure of I can but I'd like to use it around some of these trashy parks we have and maybe an old junked out homesite I've gone to

really nice ring. always awesome to dig a surprise like that. congrats!

The ring is beautiful--looks like Montana Moss Agate to me, which correlates with your location. Congrats. -Lisa

Thanks Lisa! Leave it to people living on the other side of the country to identify something that is from my own backyard. :laughing7:
