Another SC seal button & a bunch of ?????

Not too great of a day today, but I found another SC seal button, though not in great shape. I was short on time today (I slept in), so I hit the 1830 CW house that I was hunting earlier in the year, because it is closer to home. As soon as I got there it started to rain, and continued during my whole hunt. :'( Cold & windy too. :tongue3: I think you guys up in Ohio sent this weather down here. :icon_scratch: :D
I could use some help on IDing a few things, so if you want to take a stab at it, I would greatly appreciate it.

My finds:
*South Carolina state seal button (23mm) - Albert's book #SC 13.
Back mark- "Schuyler. H & G - New York"

(Nick- I was hoping this was an eagle button when I dug it. :'( )

*21mm flat button with "Gilt" back mark.

*Scabbard tip???? Maybe? I have no idea. :icon_scratch:

*Lobster claw looking copper piece.
Any ideas?

*A heavy lead alloy piece with iron loop attached. Looks like a plumb bob?
Any idea?

*Copper hollow bead (?) with a cross design & solder mark on one end.
Any idea?

*"M. W. & Co." padlock keyhole cover

* A small square coin weight (circa 1600-1850's) representing 4 pennyweight by the 4 dots on it. It has a tiny animal (horse?) design on it.
I've found these before at old properties, but never with a design on them.
Here's an informative link:
http://www.ourpasthistory.com/metal/trade-weights

*Asst'd: pocketknife, razor handle, spoon handle w/flower design, lead pieces.

Thanks for looking & any help,
MM

Another SC button???? Man...that is great. You are on top of it!!

I dug a similar scabbard tip looking item up here in VA at an old home site where we dug many CW relics. The only thing that threw me off was that my scabbard tip....did not have a tip. The bottom was open. So I was not sure if it was a scabbard tip or not. Wondering if yours is the same.

Keep swinging!!

Thanks Kyle.
I'm not letting Mirage get the only reale from that place. You're right, there has to be another with my name on it.

Thanks JC. I think I got spoiled because of the nice one I got last week. I'm surprised I haven't found an NC state seal yet with all the buttons I've dug. Weird.

Thanks Civil. I hope it is a scabbard piece, as I've never found one yet. I never thought of that copper ball being a button. Great idea.

With that spot I am sure you will find the Eagle...
Great digs My Friend,
Nick

Thanks Nick.
I haven't been to this spot in months, and was surprised at all the signals again. I wanted to hit the front yard to see if anymore silver popped up, but they had a family get-together going on. I didn't want to bother them, so I stayed out in the fields.
Tomorrows your big day. Good luck.

I have searched around for my "scabbard" piece, but I can not find it. I wanted to send you a pic. Are both ends of your tip open? If my memory is correct...we have found the same tip. Maybe someone else has a clue about them?

Great digs, Miner!!

Sneaky,
Yes, both ends are open, but the smaller end looks like it has a piece broken off. Sounds like we have the same find.

Miner,

I hope I can find it! I'll keep looking, but I can assure you we have the same thing. Now, we just have to figure out what it is. I'll be hunting all day tomorrow, but I'll keep searching for my tip.

Hope you find another SC button Sunday!
