The thrift stores here are really kicking it up for watches. I went to one today that normally has everything priced very high and they had a bag of watches for $14.95. Usually the bags are watches that didn’t sell but I saw a Stellaris so I pulled the trigger. It needs work but runs. I was thrilled to find this 1975 Seiko 6118-7010 blue dial automatic in the pile. Needs a little polishing but it is running great. I hope this run continues. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1560966253.350445.jpg

I'd say a bag well worth the price, but I've never heard of a Stellaris before. Sure were a lot of different Swiss brands back in the 60s and 70s. It looks like a good watch. Does the Seiko have an original Seiko band?

It’s actually one of those mid tier watch brands more popular in Europe. Has a generic 17 jewel movement. Yeah I got lucky oon the Seiko it has the original bracelet. Here are some pics after the cosmetic cleaning and polishing. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1560987761.331476.jpg t ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1560987783.681625.jpg

I've got a few mechanical Swiss watches with not so common well known names on the dial.

Are Seikos worth anything? It seems like any watch I ever find is worthless for resale

The Grand Seiko is probably worth the most.
