well found another Spanish One Reale only this one has no date & is pretty
worn. After being skunked two trips - persistance payed off today! Was only
4-5" deep but in an odd place. These things are really thin!

Found what looks to be a wax seal to me but it's iron. Here it is along
with a brass buckle (not sure how old buckle is).

it was really humid today but the this trip was worth it!

Back in the day, that coin represented a LOT of money-- people spent them and didn't think of holding on to one for something as frivolous as a 'coin collection'! :D

nope - not found at beach. You need a good colonial site on land and a lot of luck... :)
