Antique andirons need help

Hello everyone. This is my first post to the forum.

So I recently purchased these old lemon top brass andirons. I believe they may be from the 19th century, but I'm not certain. Is there any way to determine when they were made? Does anyone have a ballpark figure as to what they might be worth?

He must have won that auction and is maybe hoping to turn a profit, but if you factor in the shipping, it kind of pushes it to the limits.

Over the years I've see other andirons of different designs for sale in antique shops and flea markets. Seems they were priced from around $80. to the $200. range. I do recall seeing a pair of cast iron owl andirons once and they were at $800. The cast iron figure ones seem to be what's most desirable in antique andirons. I believe you have the time these were made right, but they could be made as late as the 1930, when it seems a bit of a colonial revival was going on in architecture and decor.

I posted this question to two different antique forums. One guy on the other forum said that his best guess is that these andirons were made in the 1980's (!). Does anyone here think there is any reason to regard this as accurate?

I actually acquired these for my own collection, but was curious as to dating ana value. Or course, if it turns out they are worth a lot more than what I paid for them, then I probably won't end up using them in my fireplace.

I see nothing suggesting they are more than "vintage".
70's perhaps.
The assembly view from the bottom up front doesn't offer any suggestion of the eighteen hundreds you believe they may be from. Thier wear (lack thereof) non corrosion and no indication of use lessens the potential of great age.
Were they eighteen hundreds stock in such condition a premium price would be suspected.
And unless polished or at least dusted at frequent intervals they sure are in good shape. And (I've never personally polished or watched an andiron be polished. And have used them.)

Are you believing your seller was Ignorant of the value of the andirons you purchased?

There is no indication that these have ever been exposed to heat, and the underpart of the leg supports seems quite crude. I am going with the idea that they are mid-late 20th century reproductions.

I happened to stop by an antique shop today that had quite a few andirons. I took some photos so you can have an idea of what you'd pay at a place like.
