I think that's really cool! When the title said foil I thought of the cigarette foil I found once, and I could still see the Camel packaging with it, and it was propably from the 40's. Yours is much more than foil!

Looks like something off of a bottle of whiskey. Not that I would know?????Maybe part of the seal on the neck of the bottle????????????

Interesting piece, any ideas as to what it would have been used for?
I have found some items similar to it that was used to package ribbon.

It is light weight and seems to have more strenght than foil. It is also very thin. I forgot to post the picture of the nickle, so here that is.

That foil looks to me like silver. (Black oxide).
Are you sure it isn't some type of jewlery?
