Any Garrett Ultra GTA 500 pro's out there can give me some advise?

I just recently picked up a Garrett GTA 500 at a garage sale for forty bucks. I like how it works, pretty simple to pick up some coins in parks and what not.

I was wanting to know if any of you 500 pro's had any setting tips for me. Ive been working it in the "B" mode which is the factory setting. It locates coins pretty well and lets me know what they are and how deep they are before I dig which I find very handy.

Also, will silver and coins read the same on the machine as other standard newer coins?
