I noticed this was your very first post Aukang - so, Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

Hi there vpnavy. Thanks. I am from Singapore. However I recall that the rock was not found in Singapore. I like picking up strange and fascinating looking rocks and stones when I travel...but I can't recall which country it was

It looks like bedrock and quartz.If you google quartz streamers you will see how quartz can be in bedrock your piece looks to be a bit that eroded away from the host rock then tumbled in a river until it became smooth and someone collected it.
