I "drop a pin" in google maps to mark a location, then give it a name and number. At the end of the day I log it in a spiral notebook, along with notes about the hunt, finds, weather, date & time, etc. . I know it’s old school to use a writing implement and parchment, but it’s nice to pick up the book and read about past hunts.

How about using the geotagging feature in most cell phone cameras? You take a pic the gps coords are captured in the exif data of the image. You can save all that hints photos in a set and then view them on a map.
