Hello everyone! I was trying to identify a stone/rock/something and found this forum - I hope that someone can help me. :)

My dad was doing some construction works and when digging deep in the ground, he found that stone. My mom supposes that it has a shape of leaf imprinted on the front. We've been trying to find out what it is for so long and never found a matching photo. :(

Obsidian with some olivine inclusions?

where was it found? Country, state, etc. Not necessarily the address or anything :-)

I don't believe olivine will be found in obsidian - felsic lava (obsidian, rhyolite, etc.) vs. mafic lava (olivine, basalt, gabbro, etc.). Olivine is in mafic/ultramafic rocks

Thank you all for your prompt answers! After browsing some photos I would say it looks like obsidian. It was found in north of Poland.

And some more photos of these yellow fragments.

I'll say obsidian to. Its not unusual to have some coloration in the flakes and fractures where light can pass thru easily.
