I went back to an area alongside an old parkway and found this sterling "something". It look likes a handle of some sorts. It says "sterling" on it and some numbers. I also foung 2 Mercs (1941 and 1940), 2 war nickels (1942-S, 1943-P), 1902 IH, and a 1911 Canadian dime. Of course the usual clad and 8 wheats

Could it be one side of a small pair of scissors?
