Any info on a "Gothe plaque" 22 inch in diameter and done in repousse .

I hoping someone can tell me who this artist is? I purchased it at a estate sale .

nope nothing ! but their is a signature on the right side of his neck .

Have you pencil traced the name to see if it becomes more apparent?

I tried that and still could not make out the signature! I did have a appraiser from a site called "mythings.com" give me a estimate of about 1500.00 + years back , but he did not know who the artist was. I'm very glad I found this website and ty for the welcome. I might try to take it to a conservator at a museum one of these days.

You might try placing the light source at different angles and elevations--to bring out more contrast with the letters.
