I bought this axe head off of someone but they didn't know anything about it. I was wondering how old it is and well any information really. He found it in Indiana. Thanks.

It appears to be a carpenter's axe used by carpenter's in the 18th and 19th century's. A carpenter's axe head would weight 1.5 pounds with a 10-14 inch handle used by carpenter's for finish work. Great find!!
