You are in a great area for lost treasures; Ticonderoga has a very rich history especially in the Colonial period when French, British and American armies and flotillas of boats were traveling back and forth over the region. I would suggest you pick up a copy of Volume 7 US Treasure Atlas by Thomas P. Terry, which should give you many leads to track down.

There are many local treasure legends, here is an example which is fairly famous (the Silver Madonna)

Just a sample out of many. Ticonderoga has recently tried to outlaw metal detectors so please be sure to check up on the regulations before you go, but you should not have problems on private property so long as you get permission. I hope this is of some help to you, good luck and good hunting amigo I hope you find the treasures that you seek. Be sure to come back and tell us of your adventures and the treasures you find too! :read2:

Thank you much. I still feel like I will find something of significance, I wish this town would believe in me more.
