I found 3 wheats today over by a demoed lot by DU the oldest one being 1917..no silver though...I hunted it for about 2 hours but theres a lot to cover, you should go check it out...its on Logan and Jewell...it has a construction fence around it with an open gate, no signs...its al be scrapped so it might be worth a second hunt...not sure.

hmm- sounds like an interesting site. i wonder how long it'll be available to hunt as i'm not going to get a chance to get out until 28th-29th. if you hit it again, i'd be interested to hear about your finds- good luck!

Thorton and most areas around it are way to new to find even a wheat cent...you need to go to cities like Arvada, Commerce City, Denver, Boulder....pretty much any city that established itself in the 1800s early 1900s
