any nickel signal diggin' miami folks here? if so, here's a hot tip!
shenandoah park (lies between 17th ave and 22nd ave just north of coral way) has had over half its field stripped of its grass. just bare dirt! there's some wide open gates to walk into and no signs that say you cant but dont push your luck, go after 5pm so you dont mess it up for everyone else. if they see a bunch of us there during regular hours, you can bet they'll lock it up and put signs on it!
there's lots of kids in this park at all hours and some unsavory types here and there. fullsize eaphones that seal out the outside world may not be good idea.
i dug a ton of clad after spending 3hrs covering the grounds. plenty of pulltab/nickel signals but i dont bother with those since i get frustrated quick. i seriously doubt the land will be bare and accessible for long so thats why i'm sharing the knowledge.
