HAS ANYONE EVER SOLD AN ENTIRE COLLECTION.
I HAVE A 20 YEAR COLLECTION THAT I WOULD LIKE TO CONSIDER SELLING,
BUT I HAVE NO CLUE AS TO HOW TO GO ABOUT IT.

ANY ADVISE WOULD BE NICE.

20 YEARS WORTH OF METAL DETECTING FINDS,

GOLD RINGS, SILVER, ROMAM SILVER AND BRONZE COINS, SPANISH SILVER,
BUTTONS, MEDALS, BUCKLES....

A COLLECTION...

LIKE I KNOW THAT SOME OF THE BUTTONS MIGHT BRING CLOSE TO 1000...
HOW WOULD YOU LIQUADATE SOMETHING LIKE THIS...
ONE PIECE AT A TIME ?

ALL AT ONCE, ?
WHERE COULD YOU GET IT ALL APPREISED ?

THIS IS THE INFO I AM LOOKING FOR...

Collection of what? Finds? Coins?

I buy collections of general antiques if that's what you have.

i ebay all my stuff and the junk gets put together as a lot and sold that way. generally ebay is a great place to sell things if your not sure of the value since the market will dictate the price. great way to avoid getting lowballed and later finding out how much something was worth.

I have considered Ebay, but I have probably around 1000 items.
maybe 200 buttons, small buckles, and some of those "who knows what all"
things...
can you see someone listing each thing individually ?
I might start doing that... but it would be very time consuming..

I would say that if you wanted top dollar, you should probably list individually.

I might be interested in seeing the links to your items, if you're willing to copy/paste some of them in this thread.

If you follow the link where my profile is on this forum .....

http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Boardwalk/1390/

you can see some of the stuff, this has not been updated for many years and some of the links do not work at all, but if you keep clicking there are lots of coins, and buttons, some buckles and medallions,

Just too busy to update, or too lazy.

Ebay works for some but you will only get what the highest bidder bids and you might get nowhere near the value. Your best bet is to contact an auction house and have them sell them for you. At least the auction house will have like minded buyers all collected in one place.
