Hi MD-s
I am thinking to get a PI machine to use it on some areas where i have found some ancient bronze coins(2000-2300 years old).
Anyone can tell me me if ATX can help me find other deeper coins or other stuff.
I have searched the areas with the AtPro. Almost all the coins were in the surface or at a max 4-5 cm deep.
The area i have searched is just 400sqm and i have already found 140 coins but there are still more hundreds of sqm to search.
The areas are around a hill and i think that finding the small coins in the surface is a matter of nature events. The small coins stay on the surface but i think more stuff could be found deeper.
Any opinion will be helpful
Thank you

Read other reviews. Seems almost a guaranty the atx will detect deeper than at pro. It also is quite heavy .

It's a beast! Very deep, very accurate, and as Gamiller says, it is quite heavy.

I have already done it but it seems like everybody is talking about gold that's why i gave a lot of details on what i'm interested, hoping that someone who uses it can advice me.
Thank you

If you are not ever going to beach detect and plan on spending this range of money I would opt for a Gpx 4500, 4800 or 5000. The GPX is in a whole other level over the ATX. Also there are many, many aftermarket coils for the GPX.

PI detectors are not appropriate for searching for coins, small jewelry or scattered relics.

They are however best suited for searching for large objects at great depths, such as treasure, large coin spills, artifacts, pipes, tanks, shells (all at great depths, that VLF metal detectors can not reach) and more!

Is it true????
