I'm a newbie, just started doing this as a hobby and looking to find some buddies to hunt with here in SA! I'm in the northeast area almost on the outskirts of SA.

Awesome where are you moving from? Have you picked an area in SA you are going to be living yet?

im moving from Kent, Wa. the info im get from friends and family is west to north central are fairly nice or safer areas...but I wount truly know till I get there and look at the places myself...

I'd go with north central. Stone oak, la Cantera area are probably the best areas of town, also if you want someplace a little more inner city a nice area is Alamo heights or Terrell hills

cool thanks for the recommendations....still won't know for sure till I can look at some apartments and see what the rent is....I hoping for around 500 would be best but can go a little higher if I have to...

Yeah sadly for $500 you might be in the "hood" so to say. :/ nice areas with decent rental homes and apartments range from like $800-1100 a month depending on location and sq ft.
